Finally launched my second Hiawatha.This one made of Eastern Red Cedar.
The Eastern Cedar added about 18lbs. to the weight. This wasn't noticeable on the
water, it paddled fast and maneurvered very well.
Just wondering that our desire for "lite-weight" might be a little over rated.
I found a "blister" just under the fiberglass the same as Dawne described in her latest post. I justed cut it out , sanded and varnished. Not too concerned with it.
If there where more I think they would have showed up already. My explanation is;probably caused from a dropplet of Blood,Sweat, and/or Tear from the building process.
