SOT kayak

Post by disenmann »

Just curious if anyone has seen plans for or built a strip SOT kayak. I've seen one or two stitch and glue plans but never a stripper. Another idea I had is to modify an existing design and create an open deck with small water tight compartments at the bow and stern. Any thoughts?

This is my take on an open deck Resolute:

I did a setup for either solo or tandem use. Displacement rated at 240 pounds and tested to 480 pounds, right Denis?

The lower stern shows perfect trim just like the perfectly trimmed paddlers.
