Edensaw Woods

Post by trei »

Has anyone used Edensaw woods to buy the boards to make the planking out of? I am wanting to know how their prices, reputation, and quality compare.

Edensaw is a very large and reputable dealer in hardwoods and plywood goods including marine ply. You should not have any problems with ordering lumber from them. Make sure you let them know what you plan on using the wood for so that they can make sure grain orientation is correct. Pricing I can not comment on since I order lumber direct from mills, but on ply goods, their pricing is far better than Canadian suppliers, even with exchange and duties and shipping if ordering in quantities.

Edensaw is a candy store ... awesome. Make sure they understand you're building a strip boat or they may very well quote you on vertical grain, air-dried boat lumber ($$).
The flat-sawn lumber you're looking for should make an easy request.

Good luck and have fun,
