Ranger Station 5

Post by brooks »

Station 5 has according to the lofting tables a 5/8s inch flat bottom at the profile 2-00-0 and the half breadths at the 24 in mark 0-00-2+. This is confusing. It should be to a point, correct ? This is a very calming process I am enjoying immensely .

I looked it up in my copy of CC and see what you mean, lofted as written it would create a 5/8 square flat on station 5. I'm no expert but from I have read hear in the past I would use my batten to fair it out as close to all the marks as possible. If you look at the head on profiles on the grid in the book you can get a good idea of what it should look like. It appears to me that station 5 comes to a rounded end not really a point.

Thank you so much Joe. I did exactly that and now I have all my stations in place.
