Shaping inside stem when fairing the hull?

Hi everyone,

I've reached the point on my Prospector Ranger where I'm fairing the inside hull. What do others do to shape the inside stem? I can't imagine getting a smooth transition with my fiberglass at the bow and stern with all that extra wood protruding into the boat. This is my first canoe, so please forgive me if the answer is obvious, I'm just not finding any answers in my searches.

This is really helpful. I don't know how I missed this particular BMB video after all the countless hours of scrolling the web! Good to know, there's no shaping of the stems, just the bated breath of getting the fiberglass down right!
