float chambers

Post by pjfam builder »

Do people put float chambers under the decks?
I'm building a copper mine with the plan of a trolling motor and am a bit concerned that she may sink if overturned with a 70 pound battery strapped in it
I'm considering carving pink foam to roughly fit the cavity and covering the end with a good looking removable wood panel

I replied to this post on another site.

Yes, I build all of my strippers, and composites, with flotation chambers.
