For reference, my Merlin came out to 46 lbs. with an extra layer of 6 oz. fiberglass on the football area. I'm sure I could have gotten it at least 5 lbs. lighter with little effort if that was the goal.

I still cannot differentiate Kayaks [kayaksinsider.com] and canoe properly, for Looking I can but If someone question me about it then I cannot answer it properly.
