GORP
Ingredients:
Peanuts
Raisins (seedless)
Cashews
Dried Fruit (Cherries, Cranberries, Apples, Papaya, Pineapple, etc.)
Candies (mints, gummy bears, Runts, etc.)
M&M's
Reese's Pieces
Granola Cereal
Instructions:
Start with about an equal mix of raisins and peanuts in a large bowl. Add other ingredients. Mix thoroughly. Use personal taste to determine quantities of sweets - err on the side of more sweets of course :)
Comments:
GORP stands for "Good Old Raisins and Peanuts," but of course it's much more than that to me. Add just about whatever you want, but note that M&M's are better than Smarties because they don't melt. Store in plastic peanut butter jars or zipper-top bags.

well, we had a lot of GORP during our trip to philmont over the summer, It is pretty good, but after 10 days of eating the stuff for at least 2 out of 3 meals, you do kinda get sick of it. if you make this stuff to bring on a long trip, use some different ingredients to make it different each time, and dont eat it for every meal of every day.
