I pulled up the material safety data sheet up on the Ephifane's thinner, it looks like it mineral spirits. I have been thinning it with mineral spirits and so far it’s been working great. I should have the canoe finished this week-end if everything goes well.

Before anybody points out the words "water-down", I am wanting to cut EpiFanes with a GOOD mineral spirits.

I am wondering if I can spray EpiFanes through a small air powered spray gun. I know that I would have to water down the varnish. Has anybody tried this?

I am looking for designs for making a good looking thwart / with yoke. Does anyboby know of any information on the web?

I found the best way to mill the radius for inwales small pieces, is to use a milling machine with a "new" end mill, place the small pieces in the vise, pull down the quill and remove the material. VERY SAFE, and really quick way to do them.

I used Epifanes Clear and MAS, and so far I have not had any problems.

Being a machinist I have already designed a Fixture that I can use a plane to make 10:1 joint. I can not wait to get back to work to find the material that I need to make it.
