Complete and on the water. Don't look as pretty as some but, she is mine.

On the water for two to four miles every day.

Cypress with cedar accent and ash gunnels. came in at 62 lbs. a bit more than I wanted but, using the cypress what could I expect.

Excellent plans. any mistakes are mine alone.

Hi R. Maxwell,

Your Champlain looks great, and I'm sure you'll have a lot of fun with it.

If it handles as well as the original Peterborough Champlain's, you are in for a treat.

In 2000, I restored a 1938 Peterborough "Champlain Pleasure", and was surprised to find it one of the best handling canoes I have ever tried. Even at 85 pounds, it is just plain fun to use.

Congratulations again.

Cheers,
Joseph
