hardware for rope attachment

I have seen various ways to attach the painter ropes to the deck plate and pipe through the hull. Has anyone found attractive and strong bronze hardware?? I have looked at various marine hardware sites and found eye hooks, mooring eyes and other bronze brackets, but wondered if anyone found anything really nice, attractive and strong. I would prefer bronze, but brass would be the second choice.

There are oodles of suppliers but I start (typically) with Jamestown Distributors. We wound up not using a painter type approach at all but we looked over some of the same questions you have. I'm sure you've run across these guys.
