Hey Now
Hey Now
Hi Bear Mountain,
It has been some time since I have been here. Thought I would see what is going on. I have seen that there seems to be more of an interest in building these days, Ron Swanson and all.
I have completed 2 Bear Mountain Cedar Strips, a Kayak and restored an antique Adirondack guideboat all between 2006 and 2010. In 2010 I started another Canoe completed the stripping and have left it there for the last few years. I have everything I need to finish, but have been waiting for one reason or another. I am hoping to finish up this summer though, so may be here to "refresh" my memories of it all.

Re: Hey Now
Ok gotta learn the photo posting bit again.
So here it is in the shop from a few months ago. Shop is pretty crowded now with other projects (Pinball machines is what I have been into the last while) so once things are cleared out should be ready to go.
There is a very long and emotional story behind this one, and I hope to tell it here over the next little while, and get some good advice on finishing it.
Hoping Glenn is still around as well??

Well after digging around the bookshelves here in the shop I managed top find about half a dozen books on Small woodcraft building, including a very well used copy of Canoecraft. Found a lot of old handwritten notes I made scattered throughout.
I began clearing out space, just to start, moved out a 15' Nova Craft and pulled things about to get some walk around room. Once the row of Pinball machines & Jukebox are out in storage I will be ready to go. But before that I need to go through all my tools and supplies make a list of what I need to replace and get new. Small steps.
Here is a photo from today, as you can see still crowded in there.

Can you explain to me how you attach pictures to your posts? I have tried the link below the text box and it doesn't work. I have followed Glen's directions by uploading to photobucket but have not been successful.
Thanks.
Thanks.

Well, work and life with 2 kids has made this a slow go. But it looks like I will have the afternoon to sort out all my tools and supplies, after that the work can begin.
