Just started a build. I designed and cut the forms in March, 2000, but didn't build. I was digging through some forms and found it.
So here I go again ! I tell my Wife, that it keeps me outta the bars ! Ha !
Here's a few pics.
It will be a 16'4" solo. Plenty of tumblehome, flat bottomed, with some flare. Stemless, or the Minnesota method of stripping.

Optical illusion, created by the form spacing strip, that is twisted.
I fishlined them all, and they are right on.
I need to post a better pic !

Here's where I'm at today, and a shot of what the tumblehome will look like.

I probably should have started this thread under the Non-Bearmountain designs thread ?
If you could move it Randy, I'd be OK with it.
It's up to you.
Thanks !

I've had a lot of distractions lately. Here's where I'm at.
I tilt my strongback to make it easier to glue and strip the football.

Centerline cut
I like to stop stripping a few strips short of center. It makes it easier to fit the last strips.
And it's my last chance to fit a feature strip in the bottom.
Here's a pic.

I was told on another site, that in Longfellow's poem. Nokomis was the Grandmother of Hiawatha, and daughter of the Moon.
So to fill in the last few strips, I will incorporate a moon design.
Here's where I'm at today.
The dark strip near the center, looks out of place. It was the first strip off a plank, and therefore weathered dark. Once sanded, it should match the strip opposite of it.

Staple holes filled, and hull sanded.
I'm going to try Peel Ply over the cloth after the first wet out coat.
Has anyone tried that on their hulls ?

Peel Ply came in today. Laid out 6 oz E-glass, two layers, one over the football area.
Stick with marker, to locate where I trim the extra cloth layer. I put a small dot, every foot or so, and just trim, dot to dot.
Tools I use to wet out.
