I have Nokomis glassed on the outside.
The Peel Ply was a real challenge, that I probably won't take on again .
This pic is just after the first fill coat. I put on two more, all an hour apart. This nearly eliminates runs ! I Hate to scrape and sand runs !
I'm going to use this hull to make a Carbon fiber copy. So It will be awhile until, I get back to Nokomis the stripper.
Thanks for following along !

It's been awhile, but I finally pulled Nokomis off the forms.
Here's a few pics.
Only require a few minutes to scrape a couple glue globs, and I'm ready to sand the interior.
Now for some dry weather to go outside.

Nokomis stands sanded.
I'm a little short of resin, so I'll have to wait awhile to glass.
Here's some pics.

Finally found enough time to get back to Nokomis.
I applied a seal coat this afternoon, and if it is dry enough, I'll lay in the 6 oz E-glass cloth.
I tried to talk myself out of seal coating the inside, but failed in the argument.
Seal coat took 22oz of resin.
Here's a pic.

Had a little time lately to work on flotation chambers.
Here's some pics.
That's my story stick. It's measured every 2" and is 30" long. I use this to reference center line to the hull.
The last pic shows the feathered edge, on the backside, to match the hull..

Finished glassing the flotation chambers tonight.
I glassed the back sides this morning, after resin was set, I flipped the panels and glassed them in the canoe.
Some more pics.
Tomorrow, I'll add a fill coat, feather the edges, and I'll be after the trim.
At least I have a seat ready to go.

I know it's been awhile, but we moved to a newer house, and it's like a zoo around here.
I finally have a little time to work on the trim of Nokomis.
Here's a few pics.

Thanks Brian !
I skipped mowing today to finish installing seat and thwart on Nokomis.
Tomorrow I'll mow, then pull the seat and thwart to sand the hull in preparation to varnish.
some more pics.
Gunnels ended up at 26 1/4" wide.
I need to weigh Nokomis.

Now that Nokomis is done, I'll turn my attention toward my carbon fiber/ kevlar Nokomis, that has been waiting in the wings.
