Re: 17' 0" Freedom
Looks Great Randy !
It's always a relief to get past the bilge, and laying strips on the relatively flat of the football.
I always enjoy fitting strips, and closing the football !

Re: 17' 0" Freedom
After a few weeks away from the shop, I got back at it yesterday. Should have the hull closed in next weekend.
Re: 17' 0" Freedom

Time to make some shavings and sawdust, looks so good Randy. The stems seem to be fitting really well.

The stems fit ok. Got them faired today. Hope to get the rest of the hull faired and sheerline cut next weekend. Then on to glass!
Re: 17' 0" Freedom
The Fairing looks great ! Randy. It looked like a lot to remove earlier !

Yeah, there was quite a bit to take off. But the fine precision tools I used make pretty quick work of it (belt sander followed by sharp block plane)

Re: 17' 0" Freedom
Ready for glass.... but my stirring companion is not available Saturday. Will probably have to do it solo...
Re: 17' 0" Freedom
Cardboard ! Yes ! Not only does it keep the floors epoxy free, but it makes it a lot more comfortable to stand !
I mix and glass by myself, but a good helper is worth the wait !
Looking forward to seeing that hull wet out !

Looking forward to seeing the final wood colour, I think you did a great job with the shading.

yes, single layer of 6 oz E-glass. It wet out really slow (or maybe I'm just getting more impatient in my old age).
