Glassing interior

Post by Stencil »

Hello,
Read somewhere about a builder who glasses the interior with fabric at 90 degrees or crossways to the hull. Any thoughts on this? Easier? As strong as lineal layup?
Thanks

I have never tried this but I suppose it could be a bit easier since you are working with smaller sections of glass. It will not be any stronger than the lineal method and you will have all those overlap joints to deal with. I would only use this technique if I was glassing a much larger vessel.

Thankyou, I like to explore all options. Guess I will stick to lineal layup.
