I have forms for the 16' version, but my son-in-law would like a shorter 12' version built. We still want to keep the same beam, but need to figure out whether we omit stations, or just shorten the distance between each station to end up with a 12 footer.
All and any advise would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks.

recommend this design
I am not a fan of short, wide canoes. They do nothing well. However, I realize that there may be folks that enjoy/need those characteristics. I would recommend this well-drawn short boat. It has considerably less rocker than the prospector, so it won't just spin around in circles.
